What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Related technologies — local storage, for instance — also keep small amounts of data in your browser, but are not transmitted automatically.

What we actually store

• Appearance preference — if you switch between light and dark, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
• Strictly necessary hosting data — our host may set short-lived values required to serve and secure the page.

What we do not use

• No advertising or retargeting cookies.
• No social media tracking pixels.
• No session recording or heatmaps.
• No cross-site profiling of any kind.

Analytics

Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate. They tell us how many people read a page. They do not identify you and do not follow you to other websites.

Third-party content

If we embed a hosted contact form, that provider may set its own cookies when the form loads, governed by its policy rather than ours. We keep embedded third-party content to a minimum for exactly this reason.

Your controls

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and clear local storage. Clearing ours will simply reset your appearance preference. Nothing on this site requires cookies to work.
