We want this site to work for everyone who needs it, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we build to

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is a target we hold ourselves to, not a certification we claim.

What that means in practice

• A skip link to the main content, and one page heading per page.
• Semantic landmarks so assistive technology can navigate the page structure.
• Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
• Text and background colors checked against contrast minimums.
• Meaning never carried by color alone, so the site still reads without color perception.
• Animation suppressed entirely when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Our one diagram carries a text description and repeats its content as a written list.
• No horizontal scrolling of the page at narrow widths.

Known limits

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a finished state. Parts of this site may fall short, and we would rather hear about it than assume otherwise.
